Culture Venture and Mdina International (Malta) have designed a series of training sessions for public sector employees working in artistic programming, production, international development and management, and have asked FACE to lead a three-day module on international collaboration. This will focus on:
- Creating an international mindset and building the capacity to act internationally.
- Mapping the status of internationalisation within the PCO/agency most relevant to the participant.
- Building relevant international networks.
- Designing international projects: setting goals and priorities (geo-political contexts, artistic vision, intercultural issues).
- Cultural relations vs cultural diplomacy.
- Shifting from one-off international projects to longer term collaborations, including touring.
- Festivals and events as international platforms for cooperation within PCOs and external international partners.
